Werschler Aesthetics is excited to now offer The VI Peel – one of the hottest peels on the market today! If you’re looking for something with the power of a moderate chemical peel, but with far less downtime, VI Peel is your answer. It’s also versatile. VI Peel is a great treatment for several troublesome skin issues, like acne, acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin pigment and age spots.

(If you’re new to chemical peels, read this post to get caught up on the many benefits.)

What’s in a VI Peel?

VI Peel is a unique mixture of acids, vitamins and other ingredients that are known for their anti-aging, antioxidant, and anti-wrinkle attributes. You will also find things like vitamin A and salicylic acid, which are helpful for those with acne-prone skin.

What does it feel like?

The peel is applied in two separate layers, which help to penetrate the top and middle layers of your skin.  There is very little discomfort during the application of this peel, which typically takes less than 30 minutes. The VI Peel contains a numbing agent that kicks-in right away.

After the VI Peel?

  • – The peel needs remain on your skin for four hours to fully absorb into the skin.  After four hours you’ll wash the peel off using a gentle cleanser.
  • – For the first couple of day, the peel will continue to work on the outer and middle layers of your skin.
  • – Around day three, your skin will begin to peel. Expect this to continue for another day or two.
  • – Expect peeling to stop by day 5 or 6.

You’ll need to avoid your typical exfoliating routine for the first week since the VI peel is doing the aggressive exfoliation for you already. Also remember your skin will be more susceptible to the sun, so sunscreen is a must!
