Vampire Facelift: Trick or treat

Lately here at Werschler Aesthetics,  we’ve had a lot of excitement surrounding a new procedure called PRP, or Protein Rich Plasma.  You may have seen Kim Kardashian get a “Vampire Facelift” on her show, which is one of the applications of PRP.   We know that sounds a little scary, but we promise PRP is all treats and no tricks.

PRP is simply your own blood, drawn here at the office, and then placed in a centrifuge where we separate out the PRP.  That plasma contains growth factors that have amazing properties to help out in a wide range of conditions, and with that in mind, we made a list of four ways that PRP can help you look and feel your best.

Vampire Facelift

Right now the most popular procedure.  By using your own PRP with a dermal filler like Restylane or Juvederm to provide a look that is firm and full.  The dermal filler creates the volume, and the PRP heals and stimulates growth at the injection sites for a long lasting look that has patients praising its effectiveness.

Baldness

The amazing thing about PRP is in those small platelet derived growth factors, the natural proteins that your body creates get put back in your skin in concentrated doses, and when injected into areas of hair loss, PRP can stimulate the body to start regrowing hair.

Fine lines and wrinkles

Its the amazing growth factors found in PRP that can really help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and get skin that appears aging a chance to regrow collagen and stimulate elastin, to make your skin look firmer and feel smoother.
